Jesse Hartov is a media composer and music producer based in Nashville, TN. He got his start in scoring on the music team at Sparks & Shadows in LA, led by Emmy and BAFTA award-winning film composer Bear McCreary (God of War, Godzilla: King of the Monsters, The Walking Dead).

Recently, Jesse contributed music and produced the score for Call of Duty: Vanguard, with further musical contributions on its sister title, Call of Duty: Warzone. The Vanguard score was recently nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Score Soundtrack for Video Games and Other Interactive Media, as well as an International Film Music Critics Association Award for Best Original Score for a Video Game or Interactive Media, and a Game Audio Network Guild Award for Best Main Theme.

In the TV world, Jesse has contributed music to shows such as The Walking Dead (AMC), See (Apple TV+), Proven Innocent (Fox), Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. (ABC), and Outlander (Starz).

Recent film projects include Freaky (Blumhouse), The Babysitter: Killer Queen (Netflix), and the documentary Crip Camp: A Disability Revolution (Netflix). The documentary, which explores the origins of the disability rights movement in America, garnered an Academy Award nomination, an Audience Award at Sundance, and a Peabody Award, among others. The score also received a nomination at the Hollywood Music in Media Awards. Jesse was honored to be a part of this impactful project, and considers it a highlight of his career thus far.

Other musical endeavors of Jesse’s include video game scores, independent films, and commercial music production. He also enjoys collaborating with other composers by means of bespoke synth and sound design, technical consultation, and development of interactive composition tools.
